Directions from the airport

Directions from Geneva Airport - Approx 2.5 hours

This is the most popular choice of airport.

From the Airport, follow signs for France and Annecy, taking the motorway (A1).

 

Once across the border, follow signs for "Annecy (Péage)" to take the new motorway. Leave the motorway at junction 16, marked "Albertville". This will lead you into Annecy.

From Annecy, follow signs to Albertville and the N508 (if in doubt, follow the inevitable "Toutes Directions" signs!), travelling along the edge of the beautiful Lake Annecy.

Once in Albertville, follow signs for Moutiers. There is a dual-carriageway between Albertville and Moutiers. From Moutiers, follow signs for Bourg St Maurice. The dual-carriageway splits, you need to be in the left hand lane for Bourg (the right hand lane will take you to the Three Valleys).

To pass through Bourg, Sainte Foy Tarentaise is well sign-posted, usually along with Villaroger and in the same direction as Val d'Isere and Tignes.

 

Go straight on (2nd exit) at the first roundabout, go past the train station (on your right), then at the second roundabout, take the 2nd exit.

At the 3rd roundabout, take the 2nd exit again, still following signs for Sainte Foy Tarentaise (NOT Les Arcs).

 

Shortly after Bourg, you'll reach the village of Seez. Go right at the new roundabout, still following signs for Sainte Foy. Continue straight on, passing through Viclaire until you reach Sainte Foy Tarentaise.

 

This is Sainte Foy village (or Chef-lieu), the resort is higher up the mountain. To reach the resort, carry on straight through St Foy village and follow the road for another 2km to reach La Thuile.

 

From La Thuile, turn left (clearly sign-posted) onto the road leading up to the resort. Ignore all left-turns and continue up the road until you find yourself in front of Les Fermes de Sainte Foy, a large apartment/spa complex.

 

From here, Chalets Morion and Etoile de Foret are among the chalets below the road (on your right), accessible by foot only - best to call us and we'll meet you at road to guide you down to the chalet.

For Chalet Milou carry on up the road and around the next hairpin. Bear right to continue uphill (can be very icy from here on) and carry on round another 2 hairpins. Keep going up the hill and you will pass another road branching off to right. Go straight on, Chalet Milou is about 50m further on the left. There is a car park another 100m past the chalet, at the end of the road.

Directions from Lyon Airport - Approx 2.5 hours

From the airport, follow signs to Chambery on the A43 then N201 to carry on through. Follow the A430 to Albertville. Motorway tolls will cost around 14€.

 

Once in Albertville, follow signs for Moutiers. There is a dual-carriageway between Albertville and Moutiers.

From Moutiers, follow signs for Bourg St Maurice. The dual-carriageway splits, you need to be in the left hand lane for Bourg (the right hand lane will take you to the Three Valleys).

From the airport, follow signs for Albertville, taking the A430.

Directions from Calais

A26 from Calais to Troyes (briefly referred to as the A4 around Reims)

Leave the A40 at junction 11, taking the N508 to Annecy .
