Chalet
Bazilhote Like TinTin, Chalet Bazilhote is part of the original Bonconseil hamlet and is an authentic wood-and-stone chalet, not a modern recreation! Chris (the owner) has done a fantastic job of modernising it, keeping the authentic feel of the building but adding plenty of modern luxury. Bazilhote is bigger than TinTin and is spread across 3 floors. The chalet has a total of 5 bedrooms. The ground floor has one double and one twin room which share a "Jack and Jill" style en-suite shower-room plus a bunk room which sleeps up to 4 people. There is also a separate loo and a bathroom. The second floor houses the huge open-plan kitchen, living and dining rooms and has direct access to the heated ski/boot room and the snow! The top floor has 2 more bedrooms which can be set-up as a twin/quad or a twin/triple. There is a separate shower-room and separate loo. A separate apartment on the ground floor also forms part of Chalet Bazilhote. This is generally reserved for the owner's use, but we can check availability on request for a large party seeking some additional accommodation. For the 2011 winter season, Bazilhote will continue to be run by Peter & Terry, an australian couple who also operated the chalet last year. We've always been very proud of the standard of our food at The White Room but Peter takes things to new levels. A professional chef of many, many years experience Peter produces absolutely stunning food and has cooked for the Australian Prime Minister and a few minor visiting dignitaries, including a certain Mr. W. Clinton! |
