Le Tour 2009

The route for the 2009 Tour de France has been announced and, having missed the Tarentaise Valley completely in 2008, we're going to be getting 2 stages for 2009!

On Tuesday 21st July, a stage will run from Martigny in Switzerland, into Italy, then (we think) across the Col de Petit Saint Bernard to finish in Bourg. The following day, the next stage will depart from Bourg and head to Le Grand Bornand, possibly heading over the Cormet de Roseland.

Mountain biking is our thing, but it would be rude to miss the chance to see Lance and the rest (yes, he's back for '09!) passing virtually on our doorstep - and heading through the same territory as some of our favourite off-road routes. More info here soon once we get all the details, but we're going to look at offering a mix of mountain biking and tour-spotting for the relevant week - get in touch if you're interested.
